The Boring Company pushed back the opening of its Hawthorne underground tunnel in Los Angeles, but recent signs point to the Tuesday event happening.

On Saturday, the tunnel-digging company CEO Elon Musk pumped up fans with a tweet featuring a movie poster-like look at the tunnel and the light at the end of the tunnel.

Earlier in December, Musk teased "more than a tunnel opening" for the high-speed transit project when the event was pushed back from Dec. 10 to Dec. 18. He alluded to autonomous transport cars and car elevators on display at the opening.

More excitement was brewing for the first tunnel from the company with new decorations on a real "watchtower" a la Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a Musk favorite from the 1970s. The tower was recently spotted with a new brick veneer, which Musk also reposted on his Twitter with the caption, "Medieval Futurism."

In November, Musk was hiring a "knight" (aka a guard) to work at this watchtower and "yell insults at people in a French accent."

It's almost tunnel time.
