プライベートリポジトリからのgit cloneで403

事象

何も考えずにgit cloneしてみた

git clone https://github.com/username/private-repository.git

そしたら403が返ってきた

error: The requested URL returned error: 403 Forbidden while accessing https://github.com/usrname/private-repository.git/info/refs

解決法

これでプライベートリポジトリからクローンできた

git clone https://username@github.com/username/private-repository.git
